Some Thoughts on Anteaters

The anteater, nature’s pest control. Once they tear open an ant colony or termite mound with their huge front claws, they use their long, sticky tongues to slurp up the insects. They’re very good at it too, especially the giant anteater, or ant bear, which can eat up to 30,000 insects a day.
I feel very fortunate to have observed these marvelous creatures behaving naturally. Below are my field notes:
