Cleaner Shrimp are Important Members of the Ocean Community

Despite the diminutive name, shrimp are rather important creatures in the undersea world. What else would a manta ray trust to clear out its gills? What better tool to pick out the plaque from between a mackerel shark’s teeth than the dainty claws of cleaner shrimp? Little is it known that these shrimp also get to collect a wide variety of exotic goods and information from across the oceans.
